Appointments

Bayside Oral Surgery aims to provide patients with appointments to meet their treatment needs.

It is requested that patients maintain their agreed appointment time/date to assist the scheduling process, notifying the practice when they can not attend their planned appointment(s).

To assist you in providing us with this information we will contact you with either:

SMS reminder

We send you a reminder SMS the day before your appointment asking you to reply “Y” if attending or to call the surgery if you are unable to attend as planned.

Telephone call reminder

If you have no mobile phone or your surgical procedure is to be performed under GA or sedation we will call you by phone the day before your appointment to confirm that you are still expecting to attend.

Cancellation of Appointments

The cancellation policy of Bayside Oral Surgery requires 24 hours’ notice for cancellation of an appointment. Should the patient cancel without the required notice period, it is at the owner’s discretion as to whether a cancellation fee is to be charged, and if so, what this amount may be. Patients that fail to attend or cancel with less than 24 hours notice for a booked procedure may be declined a further appointment, subject to the owner’s discretion. If a further appointment is made, prepayment may be required.

Any existing patient, who has recently had surgery and informs the reception/ nursing staff of a concern will be offered a review appointment during the next available clinical session. They will be informed that there will be no charge for this appointment.
